The Custom Process

It's been another productive week in the production department!

Justin completed another body assembly, including Formica installation and precision flocking, while freshly polished aluminum components were prepared for upcoming builds.

Our natural birdseye maple body also completed another round of sanding and leveling before receiving its next coat of clear. The painted Emmons and ReSound'65 Custom logos are now in place, with one final leveling, the last coat of clear, and a hand buff still to come.

As components make their way through the shop, they arrive in final assembly where the instruments truly begin to come alive. Several undercarriages are now taking shape as pedals, cross shafts, bell cranks, and rods are carefully fitted and timed for pitch and ease of play. One of our red custom bodies has also completed final buffing and entered this stage of the build.

Every day brings another step forward. Thanks for following along as these Emmons guitars continue to take shape.
