The ReSound’65 is our Generation 2 release of the legendary 1965 push-pull pedal steel guitar. The acoustic, mechanical, and proportional properties of this instrument have been meticulously crafted to the same specifications of the "Emmons Original" 1965 wraparound guitar. This instrument delivers the same legendary tone, sustain, and playing experience of its predecessor, and continues the Emmons dynamic sound that made the brand renowned!

Our intention is to honor the enduring legacy of Buddy Emmons, and we are committed to continuing the original concept of producing premium instruments that are designed, engineered, and built for players.

The Opry, Emmons, and Gene Watson

On August 16th, Emmons Guitar Co. met an amazing talent, Opry Member Gene Watson, and his Farewell Party Band at the Opry House in Nashville Tennessee for an amazing night! We had been to the Opry in March, thanks to Mike Bourque and his efforts in connecting us to Gene and the band, and the Emmons ReSound'65 made its Opry debut that night to a sold-out crowd. We fell in love with Gene, and his amazing team that night! Many do not know this, but Gene is an avid Emmons fan, and possibly the greatest pedal steel guitar advocate on the road. His ear is incredibly tuned, and he knows good tone when he hears it. His musical style and artistry continue to include the ageless tones of the pedal steel guitar, and he has an uncanny awareness of how it supposed to sound, the chordal phrasings and a lot of technical aspects that very few people know, unless they are a player - which he is not. What a talent! Emmons Guitar Co. is proud to be partnering with Gene Watson, his band, and the wonderful Al "Boo" Miller as they make incredible music all over the country. You'll see an Emmons ReSound'65 when you see Gene from now on, and we're so thankful for him, his support, and friendship! We are doing amazing things together! Here is a just a short glimpse into our most recent night at the Opry! We hope you enjoy it! 🙂
